The passage of Assembly Bill 1535 (2014) allows California pharmacists to equip naloxone without a medical prescription. 4.2 The pharmacist works with the patient to maximize the patient`s understanding and participation in the therapeutic program, ensuring that the precautions of monitoring the drug treatment (for example. laboratory B, blood pressure monitoring, home blood glucose tests, etc.) are taken and understood by the patient and the patient receives and knows all the necessary medications and associated devices. The explanations are adapted to level understanding and teaching and assistance to adherence as indicated. Polish pharmacists must complete a five-and-a-half-year master`s degree in pharmacy at the University of Medicine and obtain the right to practice as pharmacists in Poland by the District Pharmaceutical Council. The program includes 6 months of pharmacy training. The Polish name of the Master of Pharmacy Degree (Mr Pharm.) is magister farmacji (mgr farm). Not only pharmacists, but also pharmaceutical technicians are allowed to deliver prescription drugs, with the exception of narcotics, psychotropic drugs and very powerful drugs. Pharmacists authorize prescriptions that are filled later by pharmaceutical technicians.
Pharmaceutical technicians then have to complete two years of post-secondary vocational training and two years of pharmacy training. Pharmacists have the right to prescribe medications in exceptional cases. All Polish pharmacies are required to produce compound medicines. Most pharmacists in Poland are pharmacy managers and are responsible for pharmacy marketing in addition to traditional activities. To become a pharmacy manager in Poland, a pharmacist would need to have at least 5 years of professional experience. All pharmacists in Poland must maintain an adequate level of knowledge by participating in various courses and academic and sectoral arrangements or through a post-university specialisation. All qualified pharmacists must now obtain a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) before they can enter the pharmacy practice for the North American Pharmacist License Examination (NAPLEX). In addition, pharmacists are subject to a state legal review in order to practice from one state to another. 1.1 The pharmacist has an initial conversation with the patient to establish a working professional relationship and initiate the patient`s pharmacy record. In some situations (for example. B paediatrics, geriatrics, critical care, language barriers), it is not possible to establish a professional relationship with the patient and to collect information directly from the patient.
Under these conditions, the pharmacist must work directly with the patient`s parent, guardian and/or primary caretaker. 1.3 Pharmacists use physical health assessment techniques (blood pressure monitoring, etc.) appropriately and, if necessary, to obtain patient-specific objective information. Pharmacists, also known as chemists (Commonwealth English) or drug dealers (North America and archaic, Commonwealth English), are health experts who specialize in the use of drugs because they deal with the composition, effects, mechanism of action and correct and effective use of drugs. Knowing the mechanism of action of drugs, the pharmacist understands how they should be used to maximize benefits, avoid minimal side effects and drug interactions. Pharmacists receive university or postgraduate training to understand the biochemical mechanisms and actions of drugs, drug applications, therapeutic roles, side effects, potential drug interactions and monitoring parameters.
