The agreement can be used for apprentices of all ages from the age of 16. It is anticipated that the apprentice will participate in the national apprenticeship program. Number of hours per day/week/overtime rate: the apprentice works one day, more than one week, and what is the rate of overtime for hours worked during the normal work week. An apprentice who is accepted under a traditional “apprenticeship contract” has the right not to be wrongfully dismissed under the Employment Rights Act of 1996 (as with all ordinary workers).
